Valerie Hajek is a sophomore entering her second year of journalism. In her free time, Valerie likes to play sports, hang out with friends and family, and listen to music. She plays field hockey in the fall and runs track in the winter and spring. Valerie likes squash too, and not the vegetable (it’s a sport in case you didn’t know). One of Valerie’s favorite shows is Grey’s Anatomy, which has inspired her to want to be a cardiothoracic surgeon. Valerie is looking forward to her next few years at Western.
