Friday, Dec. 13 was the first annual pie eating contest held here at WAHS. Leadership students organized this event, “just for fun.” Many people from the student body came to the choir room to enjoy tasting bits of pie from an array of options. There was a wide variety of pies thanks to the contribution of students, including pumpkin pie, lemon meringue pie, and even pecan pie. Voting took place after people tasted each pie to determine the winner. Junior Abby Wheat came in first place with her pecan pie and freshman Ryann Sheehy’s candy bar pie placed second.
