Boys basketball coach Darren Maynard reached the milestone of 400 career wins last night with a 71-42 victory over Powhatan.

“It means I’ve coached a lot of really good players here. I’ve been really lucky to coach some great kids, and I have had a great staff to help me do it,” Coach Maynard reflected on the victory.

Junior guard Riley Prichard lead the team with 16 points and five assists. Tommy Mangrum (11) made his return from an injury and chipped in 15 points and six rebounds. Eli Yordy (12) also contributed 12 points, all of which came from behind the line.

The win elevated the Warriors to a 11-9 record, giving them momentum as they head into their home game on Friday against their rivals, the Albemarle Patriots.
