The WAHS boys varsity swim team won the Conference 29 District Championship on Friday, January 30th. They finished ahead of Monticello, Spotswood, Turner Ashby, Broadway, and Waynesboro High School. Their win was convincing finishing 86 points ahead of the second-place Mustangs and 133 points ahead of last-place Waynesboro.

The Warriors had great performances in many different events. Their 200 Meter Medley Relay team, consisting of Aaron James, Jake Paulson, Matt Mandell, and Daniel Du, finished in first place. Aaron James took first place in the 100 Meter Backstroke. Jack Vaughn was second in the 100 Meter Breast. The Warriors also won the 200 and 400 Meter Free Relays.

AJ Donovan took third place in the 50 Meter Free and the 100 Meter Butterfly. In the 400 Meter Free, Ryan Boyce also earned the Warriors a third place finish.

The Warriors will compete in the Regional Championship on February 9th. It will take place in Christiansburg, Virginia.
