Upcoming: Better Together Multicultural Celebration

Upcoming%3A+Better+Together+Multicultural+Celebration

On March 8, 2024, the Student Senate, consisting of MOCHA/WOCHA, WHAC, YAAPIC, and GSA, will host the Better Together multicultural event to celebrate heritage and culture at WAHS. The event will be held from 4:15-6:30 PM at WAHS and will include musical performances from Chihamba and WAHcapella as well as catering from Doma, Pearl Island, and Fiesta Azteca. According to one of the event organizers, librarian Jami Curry, “ the Senate is composed of student leaders from many of our underrepresented affinity groups and clubs.  Together, they are planning this carnival-style festival, with live acts, music, games, and delicious food, to bring awareness to the various cultural groups represented in our building and to grow our community to be more loving and inclusive of every person in the school.”
