The Western boys basketball team defeated Monticello 77-56 on Tuesday night in the first round of Conference 29 play. This was the third time the two teams met this season, and the Warriors proved victorious all three times. With this win, the No. 3 Warriors will travel to Monticello High School on Thursday night to take on the No. 2 seeded Fort Defiance Indians.  The Indians secured their semifinal berth with a 88-59 win over Stuarts Draft.  When Western clashed with Fort Defiance in December, it was a close game with the Indians pulling out a 56-50 win. This Thursday’s game will definitely be a good one and will determine the fate of the rest of the season.
