The WAHS swim and dive team have done a very good job with maintaining their high status with all their successes this season. The boys and girls teams came in first at conference last week at JMU. Several people qualified for regionals that didn’t expect to make it through including Andy Cohen and Helen Given who both placed in the 100 fly. Regionals was held yesterday in Blacksburg where the girls came in a very close second to Cave Springs. Boys also came in second, right behind Hidden Valley. Ten swimmers qualified for states at the regional meet. All the relays will be moving onto states, along with four divers. Tune in for the results of their state meet that will be held next Thursday for divers and Friday for swimmers.
