Varsity Volleyball Loses to Fort Defiance
The girls’ varsity volleyball team featured exceptional performances during the first match of the season on Aug. 29, despite losing 3-0 against Fort Defiance at home. Ali Sandridge had 11 kills and 11 digs. Maggie Spindel had six kills, four blocks, and two aces for the night. The youngest player on the team, freshman Courtney Berry, had four kills and four blocks. Abigail Wagner and Erin Farina both had several assists and Devon Via had nine digs and three aces.
The team traveled to Waynesboro on Sept. 12 and lost the match 3-0.
