Warriors Golf Loses to Monticello
The Warriors golf team lost on Tuesday, Sept. 10 to Monticello High School. The loss is their sixth of the season, which puts their record at 8-6 (7-6 in the district). The Warriors came close, but were defeated by just four strokes, 158-162. Hunter Weis led Western with an even par at 36 strokes. Kyle Landis was next with a 37. Jake Thompson was after him with a score of 42. Western still has two district matches remaining at home. On Sept. 17, Western will play the visiting Powhatan Indians at 4:30 p.m. Two days later they will play against the Fluvanna County Flucos, also at home. They will also play the conference tournament on Monday, Sept. 30.
