Library Seeks Visual Appeal with Help of Crews
In the midst of the construction in the media center, librarian Melissa Techman has created two crews to help with the appeal of the library to make it more inviting to students.
The social media crew is for tech-savvy students, interested in posting pictures of artwork on the library Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook pages that in turn can be used for the design of the library. She plans on using these programs to help inform students on what is going on both in the library and at school.
With the help of the library design crew, Ms. Techman is aiming for an “enchanting” library appeal that will welcome users both old and new.
“The students of the school are not just library users, but they’re future voters and I want them to fall in love with the library,” said Ms. Techman.
While the library is a place for students to get homework done, Ms. Techman also wants it to be a place where students can relax and enjoy local artwork, posters, and photographs.
