The WAHS crew team finished their fall season on Sunday, November 16th. The regatta ended a successful fall season. It was the local Dam Turn regatta, at Beaver Creek in Crozet. The Warriors did very well, finishing first in many events. Doubles pairs of senior Neve Gallagher/junior Emmy Thacker, sophomores Roy Correll/Maggie Vidal, and seniors Carter Spradlin/Hayes Shannon each finished in first place in their respective races. Junior Jessie Dugan won the women’s singles race and sophomore Carrie Smith won the novice singles race.

It was fitting that the team was able to finish their season off well at home. The team will now practice and prepare for the spring season. They definitely have a bright future and a season worth looking forward to.
