Key Club Donates 100 Meal Packets
November 21, 2014
On November 11 Key Club held its first official meeting of the year. In the 40 minute lunch period members were able to put together a total of 100 meal packets to donate to the UVa Hospital. The meal packets are given to people who have traveled long distances to access the quality level of medical care at UVa for their family members. While they are staying at UVa they might not be able to afford the nicest hotels or food and the meal packets allow them to eat healthily without having to worry about prices.
Key Club has hit the ground running for the 2014-2015 school year already raising hundreds of dollars for UNICEF, donating 100 meal packets, and participating in several local elementary school fun fairs. Members will have even more opportunities to serve in the community once the holiday season starts.
