Western’s Day of Service Returns

Keep an Eye out For WAHS With a Cause

Students did trail maintenance for local nonprofit, Autism Sanctuary, as an off campus project during WAHS With a Cause in 2023.

WAHS With a Cause is an annual day of community service, which this year has been scheduled by the Western Leadership program for March 25th. Students have a chance to work with their clubs and friends to improve WAHS and the surrounding community. Some events will take students off campus, others stay at WAHS, and previous events have included trail clean-up, musical performances, and hallway painting. Those who do not wish to participate may instead choose a silent study hall.

Ika Gottlieb, Staff Writer
Ika, a sophomore at Western, is new to the journalism staff but looking forward to writing for the Western Hemisphere. Political issues interest her the most, but she finds that most topics are worth writing about. Outside of journalism, she is passionate about language in all its forms, both lingistically and creatively.
