On February 23, the Warriors travelled to Lord Botetourt to take on the Cavaliers in the 3A West Regional quarterfinals. The Warriors knew this would be a tough game, and focused on a solid defense to try to shut down the strong offense of the Cavaliers. However, the Warriors walked away with a 67-52 loss that ended the season and was, sadly, the last game for the entire starting line-up. Seniors Chase Stokes, Will Mason, Jake Maynard, Eli Sumpter and Sam Chisholm will all be graduating this year, leaving the squad in the hands of developing underclassmen, including freshman Ryan Ingram. Coach Maynard knows this will be a big loss for the program, but also believes the Warriors have a bright future with the younger players.
